Sir Jeff Goodby rules

After creating the most brilliant campaign in history – Got Milk?, the guys from Goodby Silverstein and Partners are still creating amazing advertising pieces for this client. A good example is this site, a gorgeous web experience to highlight the benefits of drinking milk.

I thought that after this game, they had reached the climax, but I was completely wrong. And it's ridiculous how pixel perfect their stuff is. Let's see what's next.

They really want to take over the World.

I just found this Google product called Goog 411. You call a 800 number and you can do a google search via voice. It was launched in 2007, but I've never heard about it before. It's clear that they want to conqueur not only smart phones with internet acess but also users with a regular mobile phone. That's huge.

I put my hands on it

Quite amazing how the iPad feels in one's palm. It's a little to heavy for my taste, but it renders stuff so crispy! Also the screen is way more responsive to finger gestures than the iPhone. Up there is how one site that I designed looks on that sexy LED screen.

Wndows Mobile Seven

While Mr Jobs fights against the "lazy" guys at Adobe, Microsoft has been working on its new phone with it's unique UI. Microsoft Windows Mobile 7 is going to be a punch on Apple's face, as much as the Android has been kicking iPhone's ass recently.

The phone will be released by the end of 2010, perhaps around Christmas. Though Microsoft showed a preview of it in a conference held in Spain, last February. The user interface reminds me of macintosh's System 6 interface, but in blue. It's utterly simple. No bevels, no shadows, no volume. One would say that it's boring, because there's no dimensionality in it. But I think that's quite the opposite. When every interface design tries to be super fancy, with many different colors and shapes, Microsoft's new UI goes to the opposite direction. The deal here is positive and negative space. Blue or white. That's it.

Steve's kingdom has to reinforce its infantry. Things has changed.

5th Quater - Information Design

Find Ur Car is a new way of parking cars at parking areas. It enables users find the exact place where they parked their vehicle just by using a mobile phone.

This project was my only personal project and I made a presentation in Flash to explain it. Check it out.

5th Quater - iPhone UX

Annabel Mangold and myself worked with two iphone apps target to toddlers. I can't tell more about this project until it gets produced. More to come in the near future.

5th Quater - Intro to Motion

Making a movie in a design school is a serious job, dude. Capturing it with DSLRs cams and editing with Final Cut is fun. But we decided to go further. We made a stop motion animation and all that good stuff.

My partners for this one were Shaun Saperstein and CJ Isaac. Great people with great attitudes. Spending several hours editing stuff with them was pleasant but harsh. Pleasant because everybody wanted to do a good job. Harsh by the fact that editing is harsh and stressful.

Our story was about Geocaching. The goal was finding the number one geocacher in GA. Since Searching for Searchers - A Geocaching Story (Director's Cut) is on production yet, here are some pictures of the documentary. The real movie is about to come.
